Help Young People Rediscover the Power of English
Some pupils arrive at school believing that English just isn’t for them. They’ve struggled with reading, lost writing confidence, or feel nothing worth saying. But in the right environment, with the right support—and the right teacher—everything can change.
That’s where you come in.
A Setting That Puts Students First
This specialist school in Putney, South West London, supports children and young people with Autism, ADHD, and associated needs. These pupils may have faced challenges in mainstream education and need a calm, nurturing space to re-engage with learning.
Here, teaching is tailored, relationships matter, and every child is seen as an individual.
You’ll benefit from:
Smaller class sizes that allow for personalised teaching and strong relationships
Modern, well-resourced classrooms that bring creativity and structure to lessons
A collaborative team of therapists and support staff who work alongside you daily
Specialist learning areas, including sensory spaces, outdoor classrooms, and creative zones
A strong emphasis on wellbeing, for both staff and students
English with Purpose and Possibility
This isn’t a setting where you’re rushing to tick off objectives. It’s a place where you can slow down and teach with real intention. Whether it’s unlocking literacy through storytelling, using poetry to explore emotions, or helping a learner find pride in their first written paragraph—your work will be deeply meaningful.
English becomes a tool for connection, self-expression, and confidence-building.
Here, progress may look different—but it’s just as powerful.
You Don’t Need to Be a SEND Expert—Just the Right Kind of Teacher
If you’ve never worked in a specialist setting before, that’s absolutely fine. What matters most is your passion for helping young people grow. Full SEND training and ongoing CPD are provided from the start, helping you build confidence in the role and develop your skills.
Supportive Leadership, Real Development
You’ll be part of a team that values empathy, creativity, and collaboration. The leadership team is committed to staff development—whether you want to sharpen your SEND practice, explore new strategies, or take your career in a new direction, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
