About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working in educational settings or hold a degree that reflects your commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments?

We are currently on the lookout for experienced individuals and dedicated graduates to join our team of SEND teaching assistants across primary schools, secondary schools, SEND schools, and pupil referral units throughout the borough of Haringey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEND needs
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and confidence

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable
  • A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Hair and Beauty Instructor (BTEC Level 2) Location: London Borough of Redbridge Are you an experienced Hairdresser with a passion for passing on your knowledge? I am working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in the London Borough of Redbridge, which is seeking a dedicated Hair and Beauty Instructor. This a brand new purpose built Hair & Beauty Salon and you will be able to be a part of something new within this school which is a great opportunity for someone proactive and ready to make a difference. They cater to students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs who are unable to attend mainstream education. Your role will involve teaching and guiding these students through their BTEC Level 2 Hair and Beauty qualification, helping them develop essential vocational skills and personal growth. About the Role: As a Hair and Beauty Tutor in this specialist PRU, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons to students with complex emotional and behavioural challenges. You will work closely with other staff members to support the students' academic and social development, providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages positive learning. Key Responsibilities: Deliver BTEC Level 2 Hair and Beauty lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
