I am currently working with a fantastic SEND school based in Hillingdon. They seek an Autism Specialist to join a supportive and positive team.
This position is full-time and has an immediate start date. If you really want to kick start your career in SEND support, this is your role!
In this Autism Specialist role, you would encounter various students with Autism / ASC and various learning difficulties.
You would be required to work alongside a team of Speech and Language Therapists and Art Therapists.
This position best suits someone with experience supporting children and young people in 121 settings.
You would have primary responsibility of one pupil; however, there would be a requirement to assist across other classes if needed.
What to expect as an Autism Specialist
Integrating the creative arts into the curriculum such as music, art, drama and dance
As an Autism Support Worker, you will participate in a wide range of activities to promote the pupils' cognitive, cultural, social, physical, and emotional well-being.
You must work alongside the teacher to create a plan and deliver learning activities
You must monitor how the children are developing and set targets for them to reach
Work alongside different professionals, including nurses, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Langauge Therapists.
As an Autism Support Worker, you will have to interact with the children through the use of play-based and sensory-related activities.
The Ideal Autism Specialist
Has a personal interest in working with young people with Autism and associated learning difficulties
Already has some experience working with children with Special needs
The ideal Autism Support Worker will be able to build strong and meaningful relationships with staff and students
Perhaps you are a recent Graduate and you are looking to kickstart your career in an SEN School setting
The ideal Autism Support Worker will have a positive, patient, and proactive personality type with a desire to learn.

One of our schools is looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to join them on a full-time permanent contract basis in January. This is a term-only position, with a salary of £100 per day. School hours are 8:30am until 4pm.
Secondary age students thrive in their purpose-built classroom hub and require an experienced, nurturing and strong-willed Behaviour Mentor to support them.
For secondary students, they provide a rich curriculum covering core subjects alongside exciting vocational courses. From barbering and construction to horticulture, hospitality, and motor vehicle studies, there are ample opportunities for growth and exploration.

Are you a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assisant who is not feeling fulfilled in your role because of the lack of support and opportunities?
Arriving at the specialist SEND school, you will instantly feel at ease with the welcoming staff and warm environment.
The school caters for students who are aged 16 - 25 years with EHCPs. You will be helping them develop life skills and independence as they prepare for the next steps.
The classroom offers a wealth of experience with five members of staff including, the class teacher, an experienced HLTA and three SEN teaching assistants. You won’t be short of support and resources.
The senior leadership is very supportive of all support staff, and you will be treated the same as a permanent member from your first day.
