If you are an experienced secondary SEN teacher and looking for a new challenge working in an “Outstanding” school, this role could be for you!
The school is an SEN specialist school for students aged 3 – 19 years with Autism and all will have an EHCP. They are looking for experienced and passionate SEN teachers to join their team. The successful candidate must have experience teaching SEN, and ideally teaching young people with autism, and be able to use different techniques to enhance their learning and experiences.
SEN Secondary Teacher role;
- Teaching students in years 8 -10 in a semi-formal setting
- Experienced and able to teach across the curriculum
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Prepare and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments and assessments
- Working with Multidisciplinary therapy teams
- Working with ASD industry experts
- Professional development

Requirements for SEN Secondary Teacher
- QTS/QTLS - Instructors and Unqualified Teachers still considered
- Have previous school SEN teaching experience is essential
- Primary and secondary qualified teachers
- Be passionate about teaching children and young people with SEN
- Able to teach across the curriculum
