Autism Learning Support Assistant - Newham - Primary School Salary: £90 - £95 per day PAYE Location: Plaistow 8:15am - 3:45pm Long Term with temp2perm opportunities PS Inclusion are working with a fantastic mainstream primary school based a short walk from Plaistow station and they are looking for a 1:1 LSA to support a child in Year 1. This large Primary school can offer professional development training every two weeks, a supportive team of LSA's, SALTS, EPs and SEN Teacher and can offer temp2perm opportunities for the right candidates. The Role: The inclusion class caters to 7 pupils that display, autism, adhd, mild learning disabilities, and dysregulated behaviour. This role is working 1:1 with a Year 1 boy that displays high functioning autism learning from the curriculum but requires extra support with daily functioning and emotional regulation. This young boy loves trains and animals and is extremely bright so an interest in these would be very beneficial for the role! I will be considering candidates that have the following experience: Experience within a Primary setting, 1:1 or in a group setting. Proven experience working with children with autism. Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Training is very beneficial. Experience of working within a nurture class or SEN Class/School setting. Experience with PECs, makaton or visual aid.
