About Us: Parker Smith Inclusion is thrilled to partner with a vibrant secondary school in Redbridge on the lookout for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. This school is committed to providing every student with the resources and support they need to shine. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where all students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be at the heart of supporting students with various needs and challenging behaviours. Collaborating closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide personalized one-on-one and small group support, ensuring every student has the chance to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across all levels.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate classroom activities for diverse learners.
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected.
- Monitor student progress and provide valuable feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN and challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo training.
