This friendly primary school based in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in their specialist ARP. The school has an excellent track record of training teachers and support staff and has a beautiful and inclusive SLT.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the Specialist Resource Provision is running smoothly and making sure the students are getting the best support available. You will be managing behaviour and supporting the pupils academically, emotionally and behaviourally.

The School
This is a specialist SEMH provision, not a Pupil Referral Unit. The provision aims to provide a nurturing and therapeutic educational experience through personalised learning and development by offering young people a physical, intellectual, emotional and social curriculum, ensuring they meet each pupil's needs individually.
You would work alongside a team of experienced, dedicated staff who focus on the children's positive attributes. These pupils will all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Some will also have additional needs such as Autism and ADHD.

This school has a HI ARP for children with specific needs related to hearing, speech and language and other inclusive needs. This ARP provides a language enrichment classroom setting, specialised support from a Teacher of the deaf, regular support from Speech & Language Therapists and in class support from a communication support worker.
What you can expect as a BSL specialist TA / LSA
Experience of working in a specialist school for the D/deaf
