The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Harold Wood. This mainstream school is renowned for delivering exceptional education while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both students and staff.
In this role, you will provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism. This child has communication challenges and may exhibit some occasional behavioural difficulties, so we’re seeking someone resilient and caring to offer the support they need.
Your day-to-day duties will include helping the child engage with classroom activities, overcoming learning obstacles, and ensuring they have the best chance to thrive academically and socially. You’ll also benefit from working alongside specialist staff, such as Speech and Language Therapists, who will provide additional training and guidance.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who aspires to a career in teaching, as the school is known for investing in the development of its staff and helping them take the next step in their careers.
