We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a vibrant outstanding mainstream primary school in Plaistow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs, supporting their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all SEN provision, ensuring that children with additional needs receive the best possible support.
  • Manage the SEN register and oversee the creation and implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to SEN support.
  • Oversee all SEN-related administration, ensuring that records and processes are kept up-to-date.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff to enhance SEN provision across the school.

Requirements:

  • SENCO qualification (essential).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and experience managing EHCPs.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in SEN administration.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

SEN Learning Support Assistants - MS Primary

SEND Learning Support Assistants 1:1 MS Primary School with a Complex Need Class Immediate Start £90 - £95 per day The School I'm supporting an Outstanding Primary School in Plaistow that are looking for x4 LSA's to support their SEND provision, there are 7 students in this class displaying complex needs, autism, speech and language difficulties and behaviour challenges such as social, emotional and mental health. It is a very supportive set up with a class teacher, SENCo as well as SALTs and Educational Psychologists on site and all children have an EHCP in place. Work Experience: I will be interested in candidates with the following experience on their cv; Experience with Primary aged children Experience with SEND such as ASC, SLCN and SEMH Previously worked 1:1 or 2:1 with children that display these needs De-Escalation or Positive Behaviour Training is desired. BA or MSc in Primary Education, Psychology, Counselling Knowledge of PECs, Makaton, EHCPs and safeguarding policies.
