Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with a passion for creating positive learning experiences for children with special educational needs?  PS Inclusion are working with Special schools in East London that are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEN Teacher to join the team. You will lead a small class of up to 6 students who present moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism across all levels, speech and language challenges, and may be English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.

About the Role:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN, using EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plans) as a guide.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
  • Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and families to create and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Employ a range of strategies to support students with speech and language difficulties, autism, and additional needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting approaches as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience working with SEN students in a special or mainstream school setting.
  • Experience in adapting lesson plans to meet the specific needs of students with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with EHCPs and supporting their implementation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and innovative approach to teaching.

About the Pupils Student 1; has SEMH challenges and requires enhanced emotional regulation support.
