School Counsellor SEMH School ASAP start Full time or part time A specialist school in North East London is recruiting for a dedicated and qualified Counsellor to join its Therapy team, and provide essential support for students with SEMH. About the Role As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work closely with other professionals to deliver tailored therapeutic support to students. This role would suit someone with experience in a special needs environment, but we also encourage applications from newly qualified Counsellors ready to bring fresh energy and commitment to this important role. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate your own caseload, implementing personalised EHCP/treatment plans. Plan and deliver interventions for individual or group therapy Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to annual review processes. Build and sustain close working relationships with teaching and support staff to ensure therapy aligns with the school’s ethos and statutory regulations. Promote therapy services within the school to support business growth and reach personal targets. Facilitate training for school staff in line with EHCP requirements. Support students in developing practical cooking skills and understanding food safety. Foster a supportive and understanding relationship with students to encourage confidence and progression.
