Temporary Support Staff (SEND/SEMH Focus)
Location: North Woolwich
Salary: £125 per day
Contract Duration: Until End of March (DfE Funded)
Interviews: Thursday, 21st November
Start Date: Targeting Early December (Exact Date TBC)

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team North Woolwich PRU as a temporary Support Staff member, focusing on providing vital support to SEND/SEMH pupils. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who have been permanently excluded or are joining as part of an intervention placement.

Role Overview:

  • Lead Admissions Meetings: Conduct and manage admissions meetings for incoming students. 
  • Student Support: Maintain a caseload of pupils requiring targeted or bespoke interventions to access and engage in education effectively.
  • Contextual Safeguarding: Address and support pupils with elevated contextual safeguarding needs.
  • Holistic Collaboration: Work alongside teaching staff and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support tailored to each pupil's needs.
  • Operational Support: Assist with the operational requirements of the school as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEND/SEMH pupils.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and provide holistic support.
  • Expertise in managing complex pupil needs, including targeted interventions.
  • Commitment to enhancing educational engagement for vulnerable pupils.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with families, carers and other schools.

He has received private ABA therapy throughout his time at the school and will be transitioning to receiving this support within the school setting. Responsible for: Delivery of Occupational Therapy within school settings, either one site or multisite or as Advisory Service for Local Authorities. Locations - Newham As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass Occupational Therapy assessments, treatment and management of needs extended to life outside of school. You will assess, implement and develop treatment programmes according to diagnosis and identified needs. Would you like to finish work at 12:10 on a Friday? I am working with a fantastic MS Secondary school a minutes walk from Forest Gate station and they are in need of experienced HLTAs to support their SEN students with their classes. You will be supporting the children on a 1:1 or small group basis, delivering interventions around social skills, social communication skills, emotion regulation and more. The children are in mainstream lessons however require regular movement breaks. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA.
