About the Role
Nurture Teacher Opportunity (KS2-4)
Location: Kensington and Chelsea
Immediate start
Permanent Salary:
M1-UPS3 (£38,766 - £60,092) plus SEN Allowance (£2,678).
We are working on behalf of a forward-thinking school to recruit an experienced Nurture Teacher to join their dedicated team. This permanent opportunity offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs across KS2 to 4.
The Nurture Teacher Role Includes:
- Pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils, ensuring their intellectual, emotional, and physical needs are met.
- Delivering a stimulating and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Liaising with families, health professionals, and support staff to promote a collaborative, multi-professional approach.
- Supervising and managing support staff in the classroom.
Key Requirements as a Nurture Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least two years’ experience.
- Proven experience working with pupils with SEND, including those with ASD, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- A strong understanding of SEND legislation and curriculum strategies.
- Demonstrable skills in creative teaching that engages and motivates pupils.
Nurture Teacher Desirable Skills:
- Leadership experience in SEND or curriculum development.
- Ability to inspire and collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Primary trained teachers are encouraged to apply as this is a Nurture Teacher model which transfers very well to primary model.
