The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of needs and challenging behaviours. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across all levels.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate classroom activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN and challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
