About the Role
Learning Support Assistant
I am looking to speak to anyone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
A primary school in Southend is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
Position Details:
- Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) specialising in ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Temp to Perm Opportunity
- Pay Range: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience and responsibility)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 15:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Build strong relationships with students and gain their trust
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualised support plans
- Assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage students to engage with their learning and develop essential skills
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering student well-being
