About the Role
LOCATION: Romford
START DATE: Immediate
CONTRACT TYPE: Long term
PAY: 80-90 per day PAYE

The role
I am looking for a wonderful, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Harold Wood. This is a mainstream primary school with an excellent reputation for providing fantastic education to young people, and also taking great care of their staff!
This school has fantastic facilities, especially for their children with SEN. There are many breakout spaces in the school to support group learning and interventions.
This is a 1:1 role, supporting a child with a diagnosis of Autism. This child has communication needs and can sometimes present with challenging behaviour. I am looking for someone resilient and ready to take on a rewarding role!
Your day to day role would be working on a 1:1 basis, within the main classroom, ensuring the child can understand the work they are being given, and help overcome any barriers that they may face to their learning.
The school also have specialist support staff (e.g. Speech and language) who will be able to offer training on these specialist areas.
This school is also fantastic at supporting Teaching Assistants that wish you pursue a career in teaching. Therefore, if you are an aspiring teacher, this school would be the best place for you to be to lay the foundations of your career!
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for this role would be a teaching assistant looking to expand their experience within a SEN environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to show their passion for SEND children and provide genuine help that can positively impact a child’s needs.
This would also suit a graduate looking to become a teacher in the future.
