The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Havering. This mainstream school is highly regarded for its outstanding education and commitment to staff wellbeing.
The school offers excellent facilities, particularly for students with SEN, including breakout spaces designed for group learning and interventions.
This is a 1:1 position, where you will be supporting a child with Autism. The child has communication challenges and may display some behavioural difficulties, so we are looking for someone resilient, patient, and passionate about making a difference.
Your primary responsibility will be to work alongside the child in the main classroom, helping them engage with the learning activities and overcome any obstacles. You will receive support from specialist staff, such as Speech and Language Therapists, with training provided on key areas.
This school also encourages career development, especially for Teaching Assistants aspiring to become teachers. It’s the ideal place to gain valuable experience and build the foundation of a teaching career.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant eager to expand their experience in SEN settings. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEND and who wants to make a real impact.
