Where Creativity Meets Purpose

There’s a place in leafy Wandsworth where creativity and curiosity are nurtured every single day. It’s not your typical school. Here, education is personalised, learning is hands-on, and every young person is celebrated for who they are. We’re a small, specialist setting for neurodivergent pupils aged 9 to 16, and we’re looking for a Design & Technology teacher who sees the world a little differently—someone who believes that education can be transformative when it speaks to a child’s strengths, passions, and potential.

Our pupils are bright, inquisitive, and full of ideas. They often think in 3D, question everything, and have the potential to become brilliant problem-solvers, designers, makers, and engineers. What they need is a teacher who can help unlock that potential—someone who can provide structure while embracing flexibility, scaffold skills while nurturing independence, and see every small step as a major victory.

This is where you come in.

You’ll take the lead on developing and delivering a Design & Technology curriculum that is imaginative, meaningful, and responsive to individual needs. Our facilities are well-resourced, our class sizes are small, and our staff team is experienced and collaborative. You’ll be free to shape learning in a way that works—for you and your pupils. Whether it’s woodworking, electronics, textiles, or product design, we’re open to your vision and value innovation.

But what sets this role apart isn’t just the subject but the setting. In our school, teaching is relational. You’ll get to know every pupil, every spark of interest, every barrier to learning. You’ll work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to create joined-up support. You’ll be part of a team that listens deeply, reflects often, and celebrates loudly.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified DT teacher with experience (or a keen interest) in working with pupils with SEND
  • Brings a creative, flexible approach to curriculum design and delivery
  • Understands that learning isn’t linear—and is patient, calm, and encouraging
  • Can foster a safe and purposeful environment in a practical classroom
  • Sees the potential in every child, even on the hardest of days

In return, you’ll find:

  • A genuine sense of community, where your voice is heard, and your work is valued
  • Time and space to teach well, reflect often and grow professionally
  • Ongoing CPD, including training specific to neurodivergent needs and inclusive practice
  • A calm, spacious site with excellent resources for practical and creative learning
  • Pupils who will challenge, inspire, surprise and delight you—every single day

This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. To teach in a place where relationships come first, creativity is encouraged, and difference is not just accepted—it’s celebrated.

We'd love to hear your story if you’re ready to teach with purpose, passion and pride. Let’s build something extraordinary together.
