Role and Responsibilities:
As an SCLN Specialist TA or HLTA, you will:
- Support students with Speech, Communication, and Language Needs across various age groups.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to develop and implement tailored communication strategies and interventions.
- Deliver small group and 1:1 sessions focused on language development, social communication, and comprehension skills.
- Assist in creating a stimulating, inclusive learning environment that fosters progress and builds student confidence.
- Work collaboratively with external professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists, to align strategies and monitor progress.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience supporting children with SCLN, ideally in a school setting.
- An understanding of effective SCLN strategies and a toolkit of techniques for promoting language development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Flexibility, patience, and a proactive attitude in supporting a diverse range of students.
- TA/HLTA qualifications, or relevant SCLN experience within education (HLTA status is an advantage).
