We are working with a fantastic SEND College to find someone to be a HLTA working ages 16 to 25 with a diagnosis of Autism. Within this role, you will work as a leading part of a Teaching Assistant Team, covering lessons and providing guidance to teaching assistants. This is an amazing opportunity with lots of training from external and internal sources, alongside opportunities to gain experience working with various needs. The role is extremely rewarding with the goal to get students into employment, with each student doing some form of work placement once a week, with on site careers advisors as well as other facilities to support them. The school is designed for the needs with some students with the school having complex needs and PMLD, and management at the school does a lot to support staff and ensure your as happy as the students. Within the role you will teach 6 to 8 students with a class ages 16 to 25, with a Teaching Assistant supporting each student 1:1. The college is extremely supportive, providing lots of training and support to staff, as well as having a bespoke and rewarding curriculum looking to promote student’s independence and to get them into employment. SEN Teacher Southwark – South London Monday to Friday Temp to Perm 08:30 to 15:45 £165 to £250 per day (PAYE) Are you looking for a new rewarding position teaching students with Autism? We are working with an outstanding SEN school situated in Southwark to find a SEN teacher to lead a classroom of 10 to 12 students, all with a diagnosis of Autism. Within the class you will be supported by 3 SEN teaching assistants, teaching Key Stage 1/2 lessons in a bespoke setting that has designed to meet the needs of the students. Some students may have additional needs, with some students working at a level below their age group.
