About the Role
SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Small Special School, Newham
Position Type: Full-Time, Long term
Pay: Up to £95 per day
We are currently working with a nurturing and inclusive special school catering to both primary and secondary students with low-functioning autism. Some of the incredible students are non-verbal, experience dysregulation, and require personal care support.
The school are currently in a temporary site but will be moving to a brand new larger site come February 2025 giving the ability for further opportunities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to students with varying needs, including those who are non-verbal or require assistance with personal care.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting in the delivery of creative and engaging educational activities.
- Developing trusting relationships with students, helping them regulate emotions and access learning effectively.
- Collaborating closely with teachers and support staff to provide holistic support for each child.
