About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist ASD and SEMH school in Chelmsford that provides a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
The Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students with SEMH and additional learning needs to engage with education, develop confidence, and build essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Engaging and Adaptive Lessons – Plan and deliver creative, individualised lessons that support both academic progress and emotional well-being.

Foster a Supportive Learning Environment – Create a safe and structured classroom where students feel valued, understood, and encouraged to succeed.

Behavioural and Emotional Support – Implement strategies to help students manage emotions, develop self-regulation skills, and build resilience.

Collaborate with a Multi-Disciplinary Team – Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support for each student.

Encourage Independence and Social Skills – Support students in developing confidence, self-esteem, and essential social skills to help them thrive in education and beyond.
