About the Role

Long-term ongoing - £90-£100 PAYE
Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people who cannot access mainstream education due to their social, emotional and mental health?
We are looking for an experienced Learning Mentor for a year 10 class of 8 students, this will be a class-based role supporting the behaviour of the learners.
This role is based within a SEMH specialist setting in Newham, for students who for many reasons are unable to access mainstream education.
Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, we want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behavioural challenges.
PRU Learning Mentors requirements:
- Experience in working with young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
- If you have a passion for sports, this is something you can bring into the role.
- Learning Mentor/ Youth Worker experience -SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships and to be a role model
- A passion for working with SEND is essential
