About the SEND Teacher role

The successful SEND Teacher will prepare, plan and deliver lessons to a small group of KS1 and KS2 pupils who are pre-verbal with SLD and PMLD needs.

The group are focused on sensory learning - colours music etc, there are also pupils with SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs) within this class.

The ideal SEND Teacher:

The ideal SEND Teacher will be driven to succeed and teach children with special educational needs.

SEND school experience is desirable but equally a strong EYFS teacher would be able to take their first steps into a SEND school due to the experienced support staff and supportive teaching and leadership team.
