SEMH Teaching Assistant – PRU | Stratford, East London Location: Stratford, East London Start Date: Immediate Salary: £100 - £110 per day Contract: Full-time, Monday – Friday Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)? I am seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH TA to support children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a specialist therapeutic setting. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Assist in delivering tailored interventions to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to foster engagement and confidence. Implement de-escalation strategies and provide a nurturing learning environment. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to support each student’s progress. Requirements: 2 years experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or additional learning needs.
