Food Technician Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Term Time Only Newham, East London, Immediate Start Are you an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant in food technology? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join a specialist SEMH school in Stratford,, supporting students with additional needs in both classroom and practical kitchen settings. You will be focusing on food technology as your subject for two days of the week then covering HLTA and support for the other 3 days of the week. The children at the school have social, emotional, mental health needs, SEN needs such as autism, learning difficulties and behaviour challenges, you need to have minimum 2 years experience within this type of setting or supporting children with these needs. Role Details: Position: Teaching Assistant with Food Technician Experience Location: Newham Contract: Long Term Contract Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Start Date: ASAP Interviews: Taking place as soon as possible Responsibilities: Supporting students in their learning, both in general classroom activities and within food technology sessions Assisting with the preparation of ingredients and resources for food tech lessons Helping to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment Providing tailored support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can engage fully in lessons Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment Requirements: Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety procedures A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of students Apply now to be considered – interviews are taking place ASAP. PRU Behaviour Mentor £100- £120 PAYE April Start Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people with behavioural and social emotional and mental health needs? We are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) that is based within central London. The school has a primary and secondary site and is looking for experienced behavioural mentors to join both of their sites in September. Suitable candidates must have experience supporting young people. You must be resilient, understanding and confident in supporting young people with behavioural and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND.
