Higher Level Teaching Assistant: Havering £100 - £120 per day (Temp to Perm) Step into a vibrant, welcoming environment where children’s colourful work is proudly displayed, and natural light fills the classrooms. This is not just a beautiful space, it is a mainstream primary school where your skills, enthusiasm, and commitment will be respected. As an experienced HLTA, your confidence in planning and delivering lessons will be utilised regularly as you step up to cover teacher’s PPA, and run classes yourself. You will be provided with the resources needed for you to be able to support some of the most vulnerable children. Your experience working with young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural difficulties and social communication needs, will stand you in good stead as you develop within the role. It goes without saying that in many schools, time can feel like a luxury. However, within this ‘Good’ school with a well-established SEN provision, dedicated spaces for interventions, and access to activity materials, you'll have the time you need to excel at the job you love. The Senior Leadership Team are passionate about providing pathways for their staff to pursue personal career goals, and ensure they provide comprehensive training and learning experiences to aspiring teachers. The role is initially on a contract basis, leading to a likely permanent position after you have had two terms to embed yourself in both the role and the culture of the school.
