About the Role
Position: Community Tutor (Secondary Students)
Location: Chelmsford and surrounding areas
Pay: £15 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Minimum 3 hours per day, maximum 6 hours per day
Travel: Driving is essential, with travel expenses covered
About the Role:
Parker Smith Inclusion is working in partnership with a respected tutor provider across Essex to recruit compassionate and adaptable Community Tutors to support secondary students who are unable to access mainstream education. This role involves working one-on-one with students in the community, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored tuition to secondary students with SEN and mental health needs.
- Create engaging, individualized learning plans to suit each student’s needs.
- Build positive relationships that foster confidence and motivation in learners.
- Travel to various locations to meet students in their homes or other community settings.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with secondary-aged students, especially those with SEN or mental health challenges.
- Be resilient, empathetic, and committed to making a difference.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel across Chelmsford and nearby areas (travel expenses are fully reimbursed).
- Be flexible and reliable, able to work independently to manage schedules and deliver high-quality tuition.
