About the Role
Primary Autism Teacher
Location: Sutton, South West London
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Contract Type: Full, Time - Long-Term - May half-term/September
We are working with a primary school in need of a specialist teacher, to lead and teach the Autism Base on site. The school provides high-quality education and support for children with a range of learning difficulties, and a kay diagnosis of Autism.

The Primary ASC Teacher Role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to primary aged pupils with SEND, ensuring an inclusive and personalised approach to learning.
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports both emotional and academic growth.
- Work closely with families, therapists, and support staff to develop individual learning plans and meet EHCP targets.
- Champion inclusive education, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Who will thrive in this Primary ASC Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – with experience or a passion for SEND education.
- Strong Understanding of SEND – Knowledge of autism, communication needs, and social-emotional challenges.

- Team Player – Willing to work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic team.
