ASC Teaching Assistant – Kingston
SEN School Specialising in Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Role Type: Full-Time, Immediate Start, Temp to Permanent
Pay: £85 - £95 PAYE, Weekly Payment

Parker Smith Inclusion is excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Autism Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding SEN school in South West London. This role is ideal for anyone aspiring to become an Educational Psychologist, Child Psychologist, Therapist, or Teacher, providing hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment.

About the Role
- Provide essential classroom support to students
- Support a class of 8 students, with at least 3 additional support staff
- Assist with Literacy and Numeracy activities
- Engage students through play-based and sensory activities
- Help the class teacher with planning, preparation, and delivery of tailored learning experiences, while monitoring student progress
- Address behavioural challenges with positive strategies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, to support each child’s unique needs
About You
- Experience working with children and young people with Autism/ASC
- A genuine interest in supporting young people with Autism/ASC and complex needs
- Positive, proactive, patient, and eager to learn
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with both students and staff
