SEND Learning Support Assistant, ASAP in Waltham Forest area
Primary School
Immediate & September starts
£90 - £100 per day, paid with PAYE
The role
- I am working with an 'Outstanding' mainstream primary school that is based in Waltham Forest, they are looking for SEN Teaching Assistant to join their lovely SEN team!
- This role is based in year 2, supporting a child with ADHD.
- The ideally candidate will be experienced supporting young people with SEN, someone who is firm but also warm and nurturing, able to deliver interventions and be academically fluent.
What to expect working as an SEN LSA;
- Fantastic training opportunities working alongside teachers and speech therapists for anyone; she has recently been adopted and has attachment issues, as well as ADHD, for which she is on medication and looking to progress into teaching, childcare or psychology.

Requirements for a SEN LSA;

Are you looking for a new challenge supporting children and young people with behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health needs?
I am working with a fantastic Social, Emotional Mental Health Primary School based in North London that is seeking for passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their team.
The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who are not able to attend mainstream school due to their challenging behaviour and maybe other additional needs.
The school are seeking behaviour mentors that can be flexible through the school, the successful candidate will be working within the classrooms, which is up to 6 students.
Working 1:1 and within small groups, you will be given a class/child you are based with but at times will be expected to work in other classrooms supporting throughout the school.
Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you!
The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND.
Behaviour Mentor requirements:
Experience of working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience
Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
A passion for working with SEND is essential

If you are a resilient person who is looking for a new, challenging role supporting young people with behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs, then this is the role for you!
We are working with PRU's (Pupil Referral Unit's) based in Haringey that are seeking passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their experienced team. The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who may be on a short-term or longer-term placement as they are not able to attend mainstream education. This will be due to their challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and can be other additional needs.
PRU Behaviour Mentor role;
Supporting students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs
Class sizes will be no more than 6 students
Working 1:1 and within small groups
Supporting young people with their learning needs
Building strong and meaningful relationships
PRU Behaviour Mentor Requirements;
To have previous school or relevant experience supporting challenging behaviour
To be resilient and passionate about helping young people succeed
If you have a passion for sports, music or other interests, this can be welcomed into the role
To be flexible and willing to help support across the school in primary and secondary if needed
