Specialist Intervention Teacher
Pupil Referral Unit - Islington

Are you ready for a rewarding new challenge supporting students outside of the traditional classroom setting?
We are partnering with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in central London that is seeking passionate and experienced Specialist Intervention Teachers to work with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who face challenges in managing within the PRU environment. This role involves delivering education both onsite and offsite, including teaching at students' homes and within the local community, as well as in the school setting.
Role of Specialist Intervention Teacher

Delivering personalised curriculum for pupils onsite and offsite

Teach across the curriculum, including Maths, English or Humanities.

Plan and deliver lessons both at students home, in the community and within the school

Ensuring the lessons are aligned with students needs

Requirements for the Role
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or proven experience as un unqualified teacher in a SEN setting

Able to teach across the curriculum

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work with students with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges

A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach
