SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Thurrock

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Pay: £85 - £95 Per Day PAYE (Dependent on Experience)

I am currently working with a profound SEND school who are looking for passionate and hardworking SEND Teaching Assistant of various levels to support children with special educational needs including Autism (ASC), Speech and language communication needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

You will be looking to support vulnerable children from the tender age of 3 up to the age of 11. Being a SEND Teaching assistant is a very emotionally rewarding role, as you will be supporting vulnerable children by supporting them with their educational and emotional needs and actually making a huge impact in their lives.

The school welcomes new graduates who are aspiring SEND Teachers and Therapist's as it's a great place for those looking to grow within an inclusive and welcoming school. Located within a newly-refurbished building, the school hosts a range of fantastic facilities and various opportunities for the children to express themselves. This includes small classroom size (7 - 9 students) to ensure that each child is given the attention they need, as well as specialist facilities for IT, food technology and science. There are also calming therapy spaces for students and a Eco Garden for quiet reflection and a large outdoor area with a grassy pitch.

The wellbeing and growth of their staff is also really important as they offer continuous professional development from the day you first start.
