About the School

We are working with a highly regarded all-through SEN school in Enfield that provides specialised education for students with autism and associated needs. The school prides itself on its well-structured, nurturing environment designed to meet the unique needs of its students. With a dedicated and experienced leadership team, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious SENCO to join them from September.

  • Coordinate and manage EHCP processes, from creation to annual reviews, ensuring that individual needs are met and regularly monitored.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide high-quality SEND support.
  • Ensure that all staff are well-trained in SEND practices, and offer ongoing professional development where needed.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and parents, ensuring a collaborative approach to support each student’s unique needs.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students with SEND.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience as a SENCO in a school setting, ideally working with children with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and other special educational needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes and experience managing annual reviews.
  • NASENCO qualification (desirable) or a commitment to working towards this certification.
  • Excellent organisational skills to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and ongoing review of SEND provision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.

What’s in it for You?

  • A competitive salary with SEN allowance.
  • The chance to join an experienced leadership team in a well-established and supportive school.
  • Opportunities for professional development and further leadership responsibilities.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with autism and additional needs.
