About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant
Merton, South West London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm (6 working hours per day)| Term Time Only
£85 - £95 PAYE per day, weekly payment

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within SEN schools, where your knowledge and passion can make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable young people. You’ll gain hands-on classroom experience, learn new SEN strategies, and help pupils achieve their academic and personal goals.
This role is particularly well suited to anyone who has studied Health and Social Care, as it offers a practical and rewarding next step into the world of education, therapy or care.
What we’re looking for:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree in any subject (core subjects are particularly desirable)
- Studied Health and Social Care
- Genuine interest in SEN and a desire to learn and grow in this field
- Previous experience working with children (personal or professional)
- A positive, resilient, and professional attitude
- Ambitions to pursue a career in teaching or SEN-related professions (e.g., QTS, HCPC registration)
