Parker Smith Inclusion is excited to be partnering with an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ SEN school in Peckham, offering a fantastic full-time opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant. This school provides creative and therapeutic education for children aged 11-19 with a wide range of learning difficulties, Autism/ASC, and complex needs. Many of the children have Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), some are non-verbal, and others use wheelchairs or need mobility support.
The school is equipped with outstanding facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, to support the children’s physical and emotional development. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in this school is both rewarding and varied. You will be providing hands-on support to students, helping them engage in learning activities, and ensuring they are comfortable and supported throughout the school day. You may assist with personal care, feeding, and hydrotherapy sessions. SEN Teaching Assistant Role Details:
- Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position, Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm (term time only)
- Assist with a variety of tasks, including hydrotherapy, feeding, and toileting
- Work as part of a dedicated, collaborative team
- Daily pay rate of £90, paid via PAYE, with the opportunity to secure a permanent role
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive, proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with excellent communication skills
- A team player who is comfortable assisting with physical needs, including swimming and personal care
- No previous SEN professional experience is required—if you have the right attitude, the school will provide all the support and training you need
