Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex needs?
We are working with a school based in Enfield that caters for students in Key Stage 3, years 7,8 & 9 with complex needs, including ASC, learning disabilities, speech and language needs, medical and physical needs and behavioural challenges. They provide inclusive and personalised learning to support their students to become confident and independent. The school are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about SEND and will believe in their values and culture.
About the Role;
- Supporting the students and following the class timetable
- Class timetable involves English, Maths, Computing, Knowledge of the World, Creative lessons and Personal Development
- Work with small groups or individual pupils
- Working alongside the class teacher to support the pupils
- Using symbols to communicate with students who have communication needs
- Helping students with personal care
- To be fun, energetic and happy to get involved with activities
Recruitments for the role:
- Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or relevant experience t
- An understanding of children with complex needs
- Comfortable with personal care, training if provided
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.
