SEN Teaching  Assistant

Salary -  £85-£100 per day PAYE

Location – East London

Personal Care may be required

I am seeking a passionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and ambitious one-form entry mainstream primary school in east London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a mixture of SEN students who all need assistance as 1:1, the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant should be flexible in approach, as the child who they are working 1:1 with could change. This school have each child’s development and achievements at the forefront of everything they do, aspiring for the children to be the best they can be, ensuring they lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

  • The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would have experience working with SEN, ideally with autism – whether this experience is personal or professional, we would love to hear from you
  • Ideally have experience using Makaton and PECs
  • The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant must be resilient and adapt to difficult situations
  • Can build and maintain strong relationships whilst enforcing boundaries
  • Able to build repour with both students and teachers
  • The SEN Teaching Assistant should be committed to changing the lives of vulnerable young people, and will always go above and beyond
