SEN TA with Health and Social Care Studies
Location: Kingston Upon Thames
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £85-£100 per day (PAYE, depending on experience)
Contract Type: long-term, term time only
This warm and welcoming school in Merton is seeking a passionate SEN TA to join their team. The school caters to pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), some of whom have Autism/ASC. Some students have limited mobility and use wheelchairs, so experience supporting students with physical disabilities is highly desirable.

You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing exceptional care and education to students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' individual needs, including academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
The ideal SEN TA
- Experience working with children and young people with Autism/ASC and complex needs (professionally or personally)
- Ideally, have knowledge and experience in supporting students with physical disabilities and mobility issues, including wheelchair users
- May have worked as a care worker or care assistant
- Relevant qualifications and/or degrees such as Health and Social Care, Psychology, Criminology, or Nursing are a plus
- Aspiring educational psychologists, therapists, or educators
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
