Are you looking for a unique role working with SEND?
We are working with a fantastic SEN College to find someone to be a HLTA working ages 16 to 25 with a diagnosis of Autism. Within this role, you will work as a leading part of a TA Team, being a guiding member of the team who will occasionally cover classes if needed with teams of TAs who will work closely with each individual student, meaning management skills will be vital. These lessons are based around the curriculum which is divided into pathways such as employability, relationships and personal health and would see the students going out one day of the week to learn using the local community.
You will manage TAs, support students, cover classes all whilst being provided with training and working as part of a team which feels like a family. Management is very supportive of staff, and the school also has a therapist team who will work with the students throughout the day alongside other staff. Training is provided by the college via their team and external training providers as well as by employers for students who would be doing volunteering or once a week work via local organisations, charities and community groups.
If this a role which sounds of interest to you, why not apply today?
