We are working with a wonderful and friendly SEMH school in Guildford, Surrey. The school is looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join the team. This role is ideal for individuals who are robust and resilient and who have previous experience working with dysregulated behaviour and children and young people with additional needs, including SEMH, ASC and ADHD

We here at Parker Smith are working with an inspiring, specialist setting that caters for students who are unable to access mainstream education. The students have very complex SEMH needs as well as additional complex needs, such as ASC, ADHD, Speech, Language & Communication Difficulties, adverse childhood experiences (ACE's) and Dyslexia. These are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community who need your support. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact to these students education and future lives.
What we are looking for:
A nurturing, patient, empathetic and holistic approach.
Some experience of supporting secondary age children with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies is preferable.
A positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive and consistent approach.
Experience with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, social communication is preferable.
