SEMH Primary Teacher
Full-Time Long-Term Role
Epping Forest
Pay: MPS/UPS: £34,502 to £53,482 plus SEN Allowance
Are you a caring person with a strong personality who truly believes that children with SEMH needs deserve the very best education possible?
Are you a qualified Primary teacher with SEMH experience, or are you a qualified mainstream Primary Teacher now looking to work within an SEN setting?
I am now working with a fantastic school in Epping Forest whose core values include encouraging their pupils to excel academically, build positive relationships with their peers and adults, and to make positive contributions as independent and confident learners.
They are now seeking a SEMH Primary Teacher to join their fantastic team.
The school recognises that children with SEMH needs are among the most vulnerable in our society, and they are seeking individuals with can have a positive impact.
Requirements of a SEMH Primary Teacher:
· QTS/QTLS would be highly valued for this role, however the school is also open to working with unqualified teachers who have relevant experience
· Recent SEN qualifications or experience would be highly valued for this role
· The successful candidate will have a proven record of positive pupil progress and be passionate about improving outcomes for pupils
· To work with pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Behavioural Difficulties
· To observe, assess and support pupils referred to the school from mainstream secondary schools and to devise strategies and behaviour targets based on schools’ reports and observations
· To liaise with Management, SENDCo’s and class teachers in all aspects of the work in schools and to be able to adapt to the different philosophies and requirements of a variety of schools in order to maintain a good working relationship
· To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.
