Parker Smith Inclusion is proud to partner with a dedicated SEMH and trauma-based therapeutic school in Chelmsford, seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teacher in this innovative therapeutic school, you will work within a team-teaching environment to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and trauma. This unique role offers the opportunity to be part of a nurturing and supportive educational setting, dedicated to helping children overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and therapists to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to support students with SEMH needs and trauma.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEMH needs and trauma.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic and inclusive educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
