SEMH Teaching Assistant
Croydon
Up to £120 per day PAYE- dependant on experience
Can you be a role model to a young person with SEMH?
We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a young person in a class-based role. This role is based within a SEMH specialist setting for students who for many reasons, are unable to access mainstream education. We are looking for someone patient, empathetic and with the ability to build strong bonds.
Requirements
● Experience working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
● Secondary Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience
● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
● A passion for working with SEND is essential
● Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers
