Pastoral Teaching Assistant Temp to Perm/Permanent London Borough of Southwark We are working with a Trauma informed school within Southwark to find a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with students with Challenging Behaviour and SEMH. The Environment is very supportive, with you being a Senior Teaching Assistant, occasionally supporting a class of up 6 students in various subjects, and occasionally taking classes as a cover teacher. The students at the school range between 11 to 16 and the school is looking for someone to be a positive guiding force, assisting the students with their personal development just as much as their academic whilst also fitting the positive vibe of the school. The school offers 3 days off during termtime (something not many schools do) alongside access to medical care outside of the school and a once-a-month therapist if needed. There is a real sense of family to the school, and career progression is available including things such as teacher training or avenues into other areas of the school.
