About the Role
School Administrator (Part-Time)
New SEMH School in Richmond
4 Hours per day, Monday to Friday (during term time)
We are looking for a highly organised and positive School Administrator to join our brand-new therapeutic SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Richmond, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Key Details:
- Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday during term time
- Ideal Working Hours: 8am-12pm or 9am-1pm, but can be flexible
- Location: Richmond Upon Thames
- A new specialist SEN school for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism, and ADHD
Key Responsibilities:
- Being the face of the school: You will be the first person that visitors and parents will meet!
- Ensuring the smooth running of the school’s front office and assisting with key school functions
- Assisting the headteacher and school staff with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence
- Managing communications, including sending emails, newsletters, and other important notices to staff, parents, and students
- Ensuring school policies and procedures, especially around safeguarding and health & safety, are followed, including CPOMS
- Assisting with the organisation of school events, trips, and meetings
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
- Well-organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Experience in customer service or a front-of-house role (preferred)
- Must have experience using the Arbor system; experience using CPOMS is highly desirable

What you can expect as a SEN Teaching Assistant
You will be expected to communicate with families, social workers and therapy teams.
You will be responsible for leading play-based activities, developing social skills and building confidence.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be to support a child with special educational needs. However, the role will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations.
For aspiring Teachers, Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path.

Pay
We understand that pay is extremely important and it must be clear and simple! For that reason, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay, and your pay will never involve the employer's NI deductions or admin fees.
Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration, depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates. Please note that we pay PAYE only, and rates will vary from £80-100 per day, depending on the role and your experience.
