We are looking for a SEMH Primary Teacher for a specialist SEMH school based in Redbridge. The school caters for students who are unable to access mainstream education and has a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning. The school has amazing outdoor space and facilities with its very own farm!
We support Education providers that educate children and young people who for many reasons cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community. Understanding their SEMH needs must be met before any academic development can happen. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact.
What We Are looking for - SEMH Teacher with a passion for the outdoors
Therapeutic teaching approach
Passionate about outdoor learning and alternative curriculum
Experience of teaching with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
Positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach
Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching background
Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
