Are you a compassionate PMLD Teacher?

We are working with an inspiring SEND School that are committed to providing outstanding education to young people with PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties) they are seeking a PMLD Teacher to teach a class of 6 students whilst being supported by multiple SEND Teaching Assistants. With available positions for now or January 2025, the school are looking for someone to lead the class working with a mix of ages, including KS3/4/5. Most of the students are working at a lower level with a working engagement model being used. The ideal candidate would have previous PMLD experience and experience using alternative methods of communication. The role doesn’t require QTS with unqualified Teachers also being considered for this position. The team at the school are extremely supportive and training is provided to staff at the school. Additionally on-site parking is available for those looking to drive to the school. Their aim and ethos is for their pupils to leave being able to manage their emotions, being able to complete tasks with a degree of independence and to be able to advocate for themselves.

The students have very complex SEMH needs as well as additional complex needs, such as ASC, ADHD, Speech, Language & Communication Difficulties, adverse childhood experiences (ACE's) and Dyslexia. These are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community who need your support. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact to these students education and future lives.
