Are you a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) seeking a meaningful opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with complex Autism?
Look no further! Our outstanding Therapeutic school in Newham, East London is searching for a talented Occupational Therapist to join the school's dynamic team, offering a temp to permanent contract.
I am looking for an Band 6 or a STRONG Band 5 Occupational therapist to join a therapeutic independent school in Newham, preferably with experience with paediatrics and vulnerable children with mental health needs.
As an Occupational Therapist at the school, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work collaboratively: Join a team of dedicated professionals, including teachers, support staff, and therapists, to create personalised treatment plans and goals for each student. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
- Make a difference: Empower children with Autism and SLCN to develop essential life skills, improve their sensory integration, enhance their social interactions, and manage anxiety. Witness their growth and progress first hand as you support them on their journey.
- Innovate and creative learning environment: Utilise evidence-based interventions and innovative techniques to tailor therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each child. Develop creative strategies that inspire engagement and promote independence in daily activities.

The Ideal Occupational Therapist
- Qualified Occupational Therapist: must hold HCPC registration or be in process.

- Strong interpersonal skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
