This is a full-time, term-time-only position, perfect for an educator who thrives in a supportive, small-group setting and is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
About the Role:
As a Nurture Teacher, you will:
- Provide a safe and structured learning environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Deliver an adapted and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Support students in developing their confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to create individualised learning plans.
- Use a trauma-informed and relational approach to behaviour management.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEND, SEMH, or nurture-based education.
- A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- A passion for working with young people who need a highly nurturing and supportive learning environment.
